Our camp for helping troubled girls is on 85 acres of rolling woodlands in western South Carolina. We are halfway between Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains near Fair Play, SC. We have a centrally located dining hall, office, warehouse and showerhouse. These structures help meet needs. However, our focus for change is centered on the campsites in which our groups live. Each campsite is made up of tents comparable in size to rooms in a house. They are constructed of pine poles and covered with vinyl tarp. Floors are wooden or brick with woodstoves supplying heat in the winter. The group designs and constructs new tents as the need for replacement arises.
